Cartridge flow control valves are typically classified into the following categories to meet different pressure and precision requirements:

• Non-compensated flow control valves (needle/throttle valves): Limit flow by changing orifice size. Flow varies with inlet/outlet pressure differential, suitable for simple systems with relatively stable pressure.

• Pressure compensated flow control valve: Equipped with automatic adjustment mechanisms to maintain constant flow even when system pressure fluctuates. This flow regulator cartridge type is crucial for applications requiring precise, smooth speed control (such as conveyors or synchronized cylinders).

• Proportional flow control valves: Achieve continuous, remote precise flow adjustment via electrical signals, commonly used in highly automated industrial equipment.

• Flow dividing/combining valves: Split one oil flow into two or multiple equal (or specific ratio) flows, used for synchronizing multiple hydraulic cylinders.
